Coach Jesse Lopez enters his first season with US Elite Arizona, entering his 18th overall year coaching. Born and raised in Norwalk, California, Coach Lopez has lived in Arizona for the past 16 years and is a proud graduate of Norwalk High School, in Norwalk California. Coach Lopez attended Arizona State University immediately after graduation, before transferring to the United States Military Academy at West Point. After graduating from USMA, Coach Lopez served 6 years of active duty service as a member of the prestigious United States Army 75th Ranger Regiment.

After completing combat tours of duty and military service overseas, Coach Lopez left the Army and returned to settle in Arizona where he began training and playing football professionally in the Spanish Football League leading to a professional football career that spanned several years and led him to to play in several leagues in and around Europe.

Coach Lopez began his coaching career as a football coach, with the help of his mentor and former NFL Coach George Martinez. Lopez later returned to his first love as a sport and began coaching baseball. Coach Lopez has many years experience as an Assistant Coach, Position Coach, Player Development Coach, Manager and Director for teams throughout all level of baseball, from Club teams, High School, Junior College and University level, the Minor Leagues and Major League Baseball, including stints coaching within the Liga Mexicana de Beisbol (Mexican Baseball League) and the LigaARCO Mexicana del Pacifico (Mexican Pacific League - Mexico Winter League).

With player development in mind, Coach Lopez works to not only develop players on the field and in the classroom, but more importantly works to develop them into young men within their communities and their homes.

Coach Lopez is a graduate of Arizona State University with a Masters Degree in Education, working as a player development coach within the Mexican Baseball League's player development program, and as a volunteer assistant coach at Benjamin Franklin High School in Queen Creek, Arizona. He currently resides in Gilbert, Arizona with his wife Jessica, daughter Briana and son Manuel, who is also a very proud player within the US Elite program.
