Player Statement

My name is Bryce Curry. I've been playing baseball since I was 6 years old. Baseball has been both fun and challenging. My primary position is shortstop, I have played every position on the field other than catcher. Every day I try to do something that will make me a better baseball player. My goals are to try to be the best student, player, person and teammate.

RHH. Hits from a balanced, square stance at the plate with some hand rhythm. Smooth back load and short stride. Creates good hand separation. Short to the ball with a more level swing path. Showed quick, loose hands and fast bat speed through the zone. Stays behind the ball really well with some lower half involvement. Maintains excellent balance throughout the swing and keeps head down on ball at contact. Gets good extension past contact and finishes swing strong with one hand. Effortless swing and worked mostly middle to the pull side during BP.
Power: 84 mph exit velocity from the tee. Present power to the alleys. Ball is jumping off the bat and even more power is projected.
Arm: RH, INF 79 mph. Throws with short arm action from a mid three-quarter slot.
Defense: Surrounds the ball and works through it fielding it out in front from an athletic base. High motor, quick footwork, and quick-clean exchanges. Showed range, soft hands, and smooth double play feeds.
Run: 4.44 home-to-first time.
