I started playing baseball at 6 years old and have loved the game ever since. The friendships, the competition, and the desire to win has always made me enthusiastic about the start of every new season.
Over my travel ball career there have been many ups and downs. I've had stretches where I could do no wrong, and other times I've failed miserably. I consider myself a late bloomer and being the smallest player on the team was at times, disheartening. That challenge drove me to work harder to compete. I knew if I continued to work, the confidence and results would eventually return, and my size wouldn't matter as much.
Whether it be cheering from the dugout, running out to my position, creep-stepping, fielding fly balls or grounders, long tossing, or just taking BP, I do it with a purpose; because it's the honorable way to approach the game. Additionally, once I step on the field I also know someone is always watching.
I'm very excited to once again be a part of the U.S. Elite organization. I've competed with, and against, many other teams, and U.S. Elite is truly unique. There is certainly a higher level of respect given to the U.S. Elite organization, and I'm proud to be a part of that.
