Player Statement

My name is Sam Nomura from Maplewood, New Jersey. I attend Seton Hall Prep, a place of high academic and athletic standards as well as US Elite. I’m best known for my hard work, knowledge of the game, and my versatility. I have had every position as my primary or secondary (besides catcher) since I was 12 years old. I have made it my top priority to be the best baseball player I can become. Whether it’s going to the gym, speed training, lessons, or in my garage, I make sure I get better every single day. At the end of the day, I’m a ballplayer. A guy that coach feels good about putting in any situation. A guy that brings that passion to the game, but remaining cool and collected at the same time. “Bulldog mentality” my dad would always say to me, I give 100% effort to never lose that poise that I was taught to have. My goal is to play baseball in college and get a great education to go along with it.
