"Coach Chad” has been serving as Head Baseball Coach at Havre de Grace High School since 2011. He was a standout 4 Year Varsity player at Havre de Grace High School and then played collegiately at Division I West Virginia University where he graduated with a bachelor degree in Sports Management. During his senior year at WVU, he led the Mountaineers in 9 statistical categories.
Chad’s baseball journey started at Havre de Grace Little League through age 13. He then played in the Baltimore Metro League on the Harford Sox for 5 years, including 2 state champion teams that traveled twice to Alabama to compete in the Dizzy Dean World Series. He also played for General Die who competed in the Super “7” Series in East Cobb Georgia and the Mickey Mantle World Series in McKinney, Texas. During the fall of his Sophomore and Junior years of high school, he played for the Baltimore Oriolelanders Fall Showcase team alongside of former Yankee First Baseman, Mark Teixeira. Chad attended the Cal Ripken Sr. Baseball School every year from ages 13-17 and also worked under Duane Rhine at the former Grand Slam USA. Looking back, Chad says his success in baseball happened because he played for the love of the game and for his teammates! And his parents, Dave and Jane Blevins, gave him every opportunity to succeed.
