Sherry Hudson is the current Head Softball Coach at The John Carroll School in Bel Air, Md and an assistant Coach with US ELITE Softball, Maryland.
She was raised in Harford County and attended Fallston High School, where she received Varsity letters in Field Hockey, Basketball and Softball. She played Division I Softball at Hofstra University where she was named an Academic All American, the Hofstra University Senior Scholar Athlete and Most Valuable Softball Player during her senior year. She also received numerous academic awards including the Academic Scholastic Award from the Biology Department and is a member of the PHI Beta Kappa Honor Society. After receiving her undergraduate degree, Coach Hudson continued her education by receiving an MS in Business degree from Johns Hopkins University. Coach Hudson also participated in ASA Fastpitch Softball Leagues and National Tournaments for more than 35 years. She was hired as an assistant softball coach at JC and became head coach in 2008. In 2011, she took a hiatus to pursue family and professional goals before returning to John Carroll in 2016. In addition to being Varsity Softball coach she has been employed for more than 20 years by Johns Hopkins University and currently works in the Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology at the Bloomberg School of Public Health.
In 2017 The John Carroll Softball Team won their league Championship, the A division of the IAAM. A distinguished private, high school league in Maryland. She runs a summer softball camp with alumni and assistant coaches. She has coached numerous high school players who have gone on to play Division I, II and III College Softball. Coach Hudson was invited to help Coach Pfistner in 2017.
