Whether I’m playing, training or practicing, baseball relates to my daily life. It has given me a lot of information and knowledge about itself and other things. I have acquired some patience and humility. I have learned about teamwork and the joy in others success. It has taught me to respect the power of hard training.
Baseball is a game of failure, and these hiccups help me understand the learning power of dedication and practice. I understand that each mistake leads me to a better understanding of what it takes to succeed. Taking advantage of practice time and study time allows me to be prepared at game time and in the classroom.
Setting an example by being a leader both on and off the field is very important. Building relationships by listening and trying to be a good person is part of my daily ambitions.

COLE KLEIN is a 2021 LHP/1B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Elkins Park, PA who attends Germantown Academy. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, plenty of room to develop with physical projection moving forward. begins delivery with leg lift up past belt, gets tall on backside with some gather; on line stride to the plate with effort while showing a long arm stroke through the back working to a low three-quarters release point. Good tempo to delivery and release makes for an uncomfortable at-bat. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, projects with additional drive off lower half, shows sinking life down in the zone and projects. Able to induce weak ground ball contact when working down in the zone; curveball shows short 1-7 shape with occasional slider finish, will continue to develop consistent release. Similar arm action at first base, fields out front and hands play, works through the ball and shows accuracy across the diamond. Lefthanded hitter, begin with a balanced stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box. Subtle shift through lower half with a linear swing path through the zone, gets the barrel to the ball well, contact oriented approach with a full swing and works the middle of the field. Good student.
